Recommended Aftercare
- Remove your bandage 2-4 hours after your tattoo is complete.
- Using an unscented, gentle soap, wash the tattoo thoroughly, removing any excess ink, plasma, and blood. We recommend a baby soap, such as Johnson & Johnson, or a mild scent-free soap such as Dove or Ivory.
- Be sure to use a clean disposable paper towel and blot the tattoo dry, or let it air dry fully.
- After you have cleaned your tattoo, apply a thin layer of an unscented lotion of your choice, up to 2 times a day. We recommend Lubriderm or Curel. Other brand names may be used as long as they are fragrance free. If you prefer a natural alternative, a thin layer of coconut oil, cocoa butter, or shea butter may be used.
- Repeat steps 1-4 twice daily.
Do not over lotion your tattoo. With lotion: less is more.
Do not apply lotion to a wet or damp tattoo. Your tattoo must be completely dry before applying lotion.
Do not re-bandage your tattoo.
Do not pick or scratch your tattoo.
Do not expose to sun, chlorine, or salt water while the tattoo is healing.
Do not use any ointments or petroleum based products. Stick to lotion.
Always make sure to wash your hands before touching, cleaning, or applying lotion to your tattoo.
Healing process may take 2-3 weeks or longer.
